Is the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan open again for new enrollment?

No, the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan is closed to new enrollment.

Does the State of Texas offer another way to save for college expenses?

Yes, the state's new prepaid tuition plan, the Texas Tuition Promise Fund, is now open to enrollment!

In addition, the Texas College Savings Plan (sponsored by the Texas Tomorrow Funds and managed by OppenheimerFunds) remains open to new investors and offers a variety of college savings opportunities.

Can I add more years to the plan I purchased?

No. The Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan is currently closed to new enrollment. Plan conversions, which include adding additional years to a contract, can only occur during an enrollment period because new contract prices are used in the calculation. However, downgrades to a plan, with fewer years purchased, can occur at any time.
