How do I determine my PIN?
If this is your first time using Account Access, you'll need to choose a Personal Identification Number (PIN). The PIN must be 6 characters long and contain numbers only.
What information do I need in order to establish a PIN?

Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan Account Number. Your account number should
be eight digits.
Note: Contracts established between 1996 and 2000 originally had 10-digit contract numbers. If you have a 10-digit contract number, please drop
the first digit and the last digit to get your new eight-digit contract
number.

Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number. This will be your Login
ID.

Can I change my login id?
Yes, after you have established account access with your Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number you can change your login id. Your login id can be 1-9 characters, alpha numeric and is case sensitive.
Can I change my PIN?
Yes, after you have established a PIN, you can change it at any time when using Account
Access.
What happens if I forget my PIN?
If you do not remember your PIN, you may use the Forgot PIN feature. Contact a plan representative at 1-800-445-GRAD (1-800-445-4723) option 2, if you need further assistance resetting your PIN.

How often is the information updated?
The information, such as account balances, is updated by the end of the next business
day.
How do I know my account information is secure?
First of all, you will need a Personal Identification Number (PIN) in order to enter your account information. It is important that you do not give that number to anyone. Account Access will time out your login after 20 minutes of inactivity. You will be required to log in again to access your account information. The data associated with your account login travels over the Internet in an encrypted format called Secured Sockets Layer (SSL). This encryption standard allows data to be scrambled, protecting it from being intercepted and read as it travels over the Internet.
When is the account access available?
Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan has made every effort to make this Web site feature available to you 24 hours a day. From time to time, it may be unavailable because of basic scheduled maintenance. The site can be accessed from the www.tgtp.org Web site.
Who can make address and telephone number changes?

A contract purchaser may change the mailing address, telephone number, and
email address for anyone on the contract (this includes purchaser, joint purchaser, and beneficiary information).

number, and email address (cannot change purchaser or beneficiary information).
